Check Out Our Picks For Top Quality Vegan Chocolate Brands You May Not Have Heard Of!

Chocoholics rejoice! We all love chocolate, especially when it’s vegan, handcrafted and cruelty-free. Over the years, plant-based products have become readily available in all major supermarkets, and they now stock a variety of options especially when it comes to chocolate. While it’s easier than ever to pick up that block to indulge on for movie night, we thought it would be fun to put together some of our favourite boutique options for vegan chocolate for when you’re feeling that extra bit special!

To note, most of these places are available for online delivery with some stocking in independent grocers.

Koko Black has become well-established in the premium chocolate scene with stores all-around Australia. While not every product is 100% vegan, sustainability is at the forefront of what they do partnering with local cocoa farmers and all their ingredients are naturally sourced. They do have a range of vegan friendly of luxe chocolates which are perfect for gifts, or a mid-week treat. From chocolate covered nuts to hot chocolate kits to dark chocolate bars with native Australia ingredients, there is something for everyone.

Sweet dreams are made of Treat Dreams who have created an entire range of chocolate goodies that are 100% vegan and locally crafted in Sydney’s Inner West. They have incorporated old school vibes into many of their products, think the classic Pavlova or Chocolate Freckle but the grown-up version whose quality is top tier. To top it off they are fair trade and won the award for the World’s Best Vegan Milk Chocolate, so you know you’re in good hands.

Indulge your conscience with the range from our friends at Vegan Chocolate Co. Handcrafted, certified vegan and locally made at their shop front in Sydney’s Dulwich Hill, these guys have hit the nail on the head in terms of quality and creativity. Their specialties would have to be their plant-based twist on your Aussie favourites, think Wagon Wheels, Tim Tams and even a twist on the Cherry Ripe.

Founders Issy and Elizabeth, who have background in business and design respectively for luxury brands, started Nestar in 2007 and have never looked back on their mission to create high quality, vegan chocolate. Gone are the days where vegan chocolate resembled cardboard and enjoy treats such as vegan honeycomb, fudgy caramels and Turkish delight. You’ll be in chocolate heaven without harming the planet and our furry friends.

Simple, wholesome, and naturally sourced ingredients are at the centre of Gaia Tree. A family-run business by husband-and-wife duo Gayithri and Dinesh, who are extremely passionate about what they do and handmake everything themselves. All vegan, gluten-free, preservative free and refined sugar free, they offer up cookies, drinking chocolate, candied nuts and their specialty blind date bites.

Here’s a clear explanation of ABCD Index — what it is, and how you can find journals on it. Since you’ve earlier shown interest in submitting papers, this should help you use it correctly

ABCD Index assigns a rating (categories A, B, C, D) to journals — based on evaluation parameters like age of journal, regularity of issues, whether peer review is done, whether journal maintains proper formatting and editorial standards,…

Here’s how you can check whether a journal is listed / approved under ABCD Index — i.e. see the list of “ABCD-Index approved journals.”

Go to the ABCD Index website (i.e. open abcdindex.com).

Use the search bar (usually in the middle of the page) and type either

Press “Search.” A list of journals matching your query will appear.

Use the filters on the side (or top) of the results page to narrow down by:

  • Indexing → select “ABCD-Index” to show only journals approved by ABCD.

  • (Optional) Rating → ABCD uses a category system: A, B, C, D. Select the rating you want (e.g. “A”) and filter accordingly.

  • (Optional) Other criteria such as country, free/paid…
