A message from Bodhi's owner Heaven Leigh
Life as we know it has changed and we are all having to adapt to a new reality. Lives have been lost, businesses closed or significantly affected, people stood down from their jobs, children home-schooled by parents, and we're all learning new social distancing rules and how to juggle everything while being stuck at home. It’s important to remember in this new reality that the human spirit is strong. We are natural survivors. We will learn how to adapt and make the best of a shitty situation. It has always been in times of great adversity that the human race innovates, creates and takes huge leaps forward. We will see the best of people and the worst of people in the coming days, weeks and months. This is the time we get to decide how we write the next chapter of our lives, of the environment and of our sense of community in a disconnected world. This is the time that we get to truly discover who we are and how we choose to deal with things in a time of adversity. It’s easy to give up, feel helpless, lose motivation, become lost in not knowing what to do next or overwhelmed with so much to do that you feel like you are drowning. Just remember that human spirit, that survival instinct, that ability to adapt, that’s not someone else’s story. That ability lies in every single one of us, in each of our DNA and it’s up to us as individuals and as a community to choose how we write the next chapter. How are you going to write yours?
We would love to hear your thoughts, stories, experiences and ideas. Share with us on email or Instagram.
